GFCI means ground fault circuit interrupter. This is a receptacle mostly used in washrooms, kitchens & outside. This also come as a breaker & installed in breaker panel which is used to power swimming pools, spa's & any wet location electrical installation. GFCI monitors the circuit 24/7. We call this a life saver & they really are. Check in your home, it should be there somewhere. Check them if they trip by test button atleast monthly. If you don't have any GFCI at all, call a licensed electrician to install one for you.
